*Jac chuckled at them both as she stood up* You weren't supposed to see the food money! *She led them toward the exit and slowly looked around, stretching a little. She took in a deep breath through her nose, 'tasting' the surroundings* I smell street food *Amber sprinkled in her eyes as she opened them* Along with fish, pancakes, and somewhere nearby is a bunch of rats *Jac wrinkled her nose*

*Whinry took Marx hand too as they left the bus. She nodded happily at the idea of food. The little one was always hungry it seemed and loved sweets most! Which there had been an up tick in now that Jac and Marx had entered the picture. She did a little jump to the side walk as she got off the bus. She could seem the food and locked on the food truck ahead of them and dropped Jac's hand to point it out to Marx.*

*The day has started early for Daxton, one of Ripley's wolves had let it slip that Pack leader had sent them out to tail Deston's beta. Daxton had wanted to make sure that he could intercept them if it it was indeed Ulric. He had followed them to the park and once he confirmed they were following the wrong wolf, one that seemed to be more of a Omega than a Beta, Daxton had slipped off to check on Tak and his crew at the tournament, mainly to just observe not interact. In case there were wolves still following Juju. He was near the food trucks when he caught a whiff of another wolf, one that was very strong and most of all from a very old blood line. He scanned the people looking for the source.*

*Marx grinned as Whinry pointed to the food truck* Good eye. *He wrinkled his nose at Jac* Everyone knew he was giving you food money. Tinzen may be a demon but he isn't evil enough to let us starve. *He tugged Whinry's hand gently and started "Running" toward the food truck* Jac we need food, we're gonna die of hunger! *He yelled back at his Sister*

*Jac was still sniffing s the two of them "took off". She rolled her eyes, grinning as she tensed to really give them a chasing when she caught scent of Daxton* Marx! *She barked before scanning the area for the wolf, not afraid that it was her pack, not really afraid at all but other clans could be...touchy. The pack leader mask fell into place and suddenly Daxton couldn't have ignored her if he tried as the wild magick wrapped around her. Every magickal creature within a block and a half felt a shiver go up their spine as she really let go of her aura* Problem? *She called out in his direction, voice all but echoing with her dominance*

*Whinry ran with Marx to the truck but slowed when she felt the change in the air. Tugging on Marx's hand quickly she held her arms out so he would pick her up like they had practiced. The little girl knew the drill and was ready.*

*Daxton felt the magick change and he zeroed in on the female who had made herself known. His eyes moved to the little one and the other wolf he thought was odd he only noticed in that moment, but he could get the faint sense of magick clinging to his as well. Looking back to the female, he held up his hands in a lazy manner.* No problem, just out for a stroll.* Daxton scanned their surroundings making sure not to see a real threat.* But you might want to reign it in there. You may attract a problem with that.

*When Jac yelled his name Marx stopped hard. Whinry was in his arms before hers were fully extending. He held her tight to his chest as he turned and looked at Daxton, ignoring the other people around them. He knew his job would be to run if the time came but he couldn't help the pulling back of his lips to show his teeth. He pet the little girl's hair as the spoke to each other. He didn't have the presence Jac had, not even close so he didn't try to be menacing just protective*

*Jac's eyes were the purest gold as she caught his eyes, even as high up in the pack as he was he felt the urge to drop his eyes in her presence* Your concern is not necessary. *She sounded very much like his father when he held his pack meetings. Jac was pretty on top of it, toned, tall, and thin without being skinny. Underneath he could sense the powerful creature she was under her skin*

*Whinry wrapped her arms around Marx's neck and held on. She wasn't afraid with the wolves with here, which had helped her learn to deal with her episodes, but that did not stop her from letting out a little sigh as Marx pet her to keep her calm.*

*The wolf had to fight the urge to look down or away from her under her gaze as a pack leader, but he kept his sight focused on her and shrugged.* In this city it is. You have the power to back your presences but in this city I assure you, there is always something bigger and badder. *He put his hands in his pockets and said.* Allow me to introduce myself, I am Daxton.

*Marx took in a deep breath, nuzzling the little girl gently as he continued to watch. He was ready for the mood to relax at any time*

*Ratform Joseph peeked out of a nearby storm grate, black eyes sparkling in the light. He squeaked and quickly ran for Daxton, running up pant leg and jacket to stand on his shoulder, fluffing up with his willingness to fight, despite the fact he could do anything but add a little umph to magick cast around him. Joseph had always been close to Daxton but since the auction it was almost impossible for him to be anywhere but near the wolf*

*Jac regarded him with mild distrust before bring the wyld magick slowly back to herself and easing some of the tension out of the situation* Daxton...I think I met you once when you were small. I'm Jac. *She didn't off her full name but didn't try to give a fake one. When the rat appeared the wolf's eyes widened and at once there was no more tension because she was almost on him, eyes wide with curiosity* What is that? *She blinked at the little rat as it hissed at her. She was completely in Daxton's space then looking at the little creature closely....only Jac could go from WOLF to labrador in less than a second*

*Daxton thought a moment and was not remembering meeting this female as a child.* Maybe, I only went to a few of the pack gatherings as a child. *He notice Joseph then and gave a half smile as he climbed to his shoulder. He knew the rat would be mad at him for not taking him along this morning, but Joe always seemed to find him. He didnt mind the rat always being with him. He was like a little brother to the wolf. When Daxton went to look back to Jac, he jumped a bit as she was now in his bubble.* Umm...this is Joseph...he's my friend.

*Marx sighed as the tension completely disappeared and he turned Whinry a little bit so he could smile at her* //Everything is okay now// *He signed and spoke at the same time, a habit that was becoming just as normal as speaking alone was. The wolves hated to leave the little girl out* I think Jac is making a friend *He thought to intervene on the newcomers behalf but he didn't know how these guys would react to a cursed wolf*

*Joseph's eyes got wide as ran toward them. He jumped and was down Daxton's shirt then, little claws digging in as he climbed down his back*

*Jac grinned as the rat jumped* Hey come back. *She reached right around Daxton, grabbing the rat out of his shirt and holding him, firmly but without hurting him as she brought him out so she could see him closer* What are you in there? Kin? *She looked over every inch, almost bringing him close enough to her face that if Joseph wanted to he could scratch it* Wow, how do you make yourself so small? *She sniffed at the panicked critter*

*Whinry loosened her hold and watched Marx. A smile came back to her face as he said Jac made a new friend. She looked over at them and noticed the rat Jac now had in her hands. //Why rat? They are friends?// *she asked Marx.

*Daxton froze a second as Joe moved and Jac caught him.* Wait- He doesn't- *Daxton said as he moved to protect his friend. He could tell she was just curious about him and he held out his hand.* He is a familiar and He isn't good with new people. Can I have him back please? He will bite the hell out of you.

Well, I don't think he has a choice but to be her friend. You know Jac *Marx grinned at Whinry as he signed. When he saw the wolf holding his hand out for the rat he finally moved toward them, being careful not to get overly close* Jac, he doesn't like it. You better let him go. *He gave the new wolf a tiny smile, diverting his eyes until they were introduced so that he didn't seem like he was going to be a threat*

*Joseph was a blur of activity in Jac's hands. If she wouldn't have been so fast he would have escaped the first moment she grabbed him. Little bite marks were all over her hand by the time he just froze on her hand, glaring at her and hoping she would let him closer to her face so he could scratch her eyes out. The poor thing was shaking with adrenaline and fear as he werewolf held him. When he was offered back to Daxton he quickly shot into the arm of his shirt, hiding on his shoulder under the cloth*

*Jac paid no mind the bites or the frenzy of activity, just carefully keeping him where she could look at him. When he froze and they locked eyes she grinned, eyes crinkling with delight* A familiar? I thought only cats and the inbetween walkers could be familiars. Can he see ghosts? *She gave the poor critter back to Daxton* What's his other form, human? Does he eat human food or rotten food? Does he almost get eaten often? *She tilted her head then glanced at Marx and Whinry* It's fine. *She looked at Daxton and smiled some* You offered his name so I'll offer theirs. This is my brother Marx and my packmate Whinry *The little girl was OBVIOUSLY not a wolf but Daxton got the distinct feeling it would be a bad move to mention it* Whinry, Marx this is Daxton. *It took her a minute to sign his name, having to remember every letter to it* He is a the son of one of the local pack leaders. Speaking of *She returned her gaze to him*j I would prefer if you didn't mention us to him.

*The wolf didnt move as Joe escaped into his shirt. Once Jac asked all her questions. He said.* He is a human in his other form, but he prefers being a rat. And yes he used to until he had to become my familiar, it's a long story. * When the others joined them Daxton nodded to them and gave the little girl a smile. He noticed Jac signed to Whinry as she spoke.* //Nice to meet you.// *Daxton signed and spoke at the same time as he had studied a book that a human had came in to sell at his uncle's book shop. He was not fluent by any means but he knew the basics. At the pack business, Dax nodded.* No a problem either. There is...a bit of an upheaval right now. I won't be saying anything. Also another reason to not draw much attention to yourself right now.

*Whinny's eyes brightened as Daxton signed back to her. She beamed at Jack and Marx and returned the greeting. She put her cheek against Marx's and waited as they all talked. The Daxton man seemed nice and had kind eyes to Whinry, she had decided then that she would like him.*
