Re: Somewhere In The Concrete Jungle
Gods, but he hated being this far north, the cold settled into his very bones and made him stiff, slow moving and lethargic. It also made him rather grumpy. Eu odeio esse lugar. Eles não poderiam viver em um clima adequado? He grumbled as he made his way through the tightly packed lunchtime sidewalks. His native tongue earning him a few looks from those around him. He stopped, the crowd simply moving around him like a stream moving around a rock dropped into it, and looked up at the building before him then down to the map in his hands. Não consigo encontrar nada nesta cidade. Até o sol não mostra seu rosto nessas ruas amaldiçoadas. He sighs and starts moving again.

I fucking hate this place. Couldn't they live in a suitable climate?
I can't find shit in this city. Even the sun doesn't show it's face on these cursed streets.

Re: Somewhere In The Concrete Jungle
*Coming down the street from the opposite direction walked...more like strutted a gorgeous green haired female. Her walk was slow and smooth but it definitely gave off the vib that she owned the space around her. There was a confidence and air about her that one could almost feel and taste the magick. Her clothes were just the right size to hug her body in all the right places, from her razor back tang top down to her painted on jeans. She placed a cigarette to her red lips, as she grew closer to Nir's path.*
Re: Somewhere In The Concrete Jungle
The magic danced along his skin. The very tips of his tongue grazed his lips as if he could even taste the power. Eyes the color of fine sapphires lift from the map in his hands to look for the mystic nearby. His eyes find her in the crowd and he smiles slightly as he moves to place himself in her path. Com licença, senhorita, você pode me ajudar? He smiles shyly. While he carries no hint of magic about him, something isn't.... normal either. He points to a spot on the map that is about three blocks from where they stand. Você pode me dizer como chegar aqui?

Re: Somewhere In The Concrete Jungle
*A bewitching half smile came to the fae's lips as he stepped in her path. Slowly she took her large sunglasses from her eyes and her dazzling green eyes danced as she took in his features. Listening to his questions she leaned in maybe just a bit too close as she went about studying the map. He would smell the most captivating perfume clinging to her skin. She gave a soft hmm before she answered,* Você está quase lá. *The fae grazed the back of his hand as he pointed to the map, in an "accidental touch", as she pointed to where they were on the map.* Basta seguir este caminho e chegar em breve, Querido. *She made the motion of her finger slow, almost like a caress, as she traced the way on the map.*
Re: Somewhere In The Concrete Jungle
When her skin comes in contact with his, a small electric charge snaps between them, more than just static, but not really painful either. Eu sinto muito. As she speaks his native language his smile widens, showing off teeth just a bit too pointed. Ah! Você fala português, maravilhoso! E muito bem nisso. Muito obrigado pela sua ajuda, eu não posso acreditar que estou tão perto e não consegui encontrar o meu próprio caminho.

AH! You speak Portuguese, wonderful! And very well at that. Thank you so much for your help, I can't believe I am this close and couldn't find my own way.

Re: Somewhere In The Concrete Jungle
*The Fae's eye brow raised just a touch and her smile grew at the little shock.* Sem danos causados. *She took note of his teeth but said nothing as he spoke. When he finished, she said,* Obrigado. Você é muito gentil. *She slide her sunglasses to hook just between her cleavage.* Meu prazer, garanto-lhe. *She let out a small musical chuckle.* É uma cidade grande. Fácil de se perder.
Re: Somewhere In The Concrete Jungle
He smiles that toothy smile again. Yes, big city. His accent is heavy, even with the few words spoken in English. Eu devo ir, mas obrigada novamente. Talvez nos encontremos outro dia. He gives her a slight bow, then starts walking in the direction she told him he needed to go.

Re: Somewhere In The Concrete Jungle
*The pleasant energy coming off the fae only grew as he spoke. Her smile faltered just a little as she realized they wouldn't 'play' today. Tieve sighed ever so softly as she said.* Truly my pleasure. *She gave him one last once over before saying.* Sim por favor. Viagens seguras. *With a seductive wink, Tieve returned her sunglasses to her eyes and backed away. Spinning on her heel with a fluid grace, the Fae was gone, disappearing into the crowd.*
Re: Somewhere In The Concrete Jungle
*As one magick woman with crazy hair disappeared another appeared, this one with violent violet hair. She walked with one hand holding the book up to her nose while the other hand held onto the "coattails" of a very weak wind spirit. It had just enough presence to gently "push" the aloof people of New York out of the violet haired witch's way as it guided her toward the next shop she wanted to check. As Jim read her book she mumbled softly, complaining that this was yet another book that had no legitimate information on hatching the egg*
Re: Somewhere In The Concrete Jungle
As the girl with the purple hair moves past, his head snaps up and his eyes narrow at her back. Were anyone to be watching him, his eyes snap strangely for a split moment, pupils elongating, a second lid quickly closing over them before changing back to normal. He tilts his head and without a true thought of choice falls into step behind the teen.
Re: Somewhere In The Concrete Jungle
*A shiver ran up Jim's back and she blinked, breaking out of the words on the book. The grip on the wind spirit tightened just a touch, all of this unnoticeable from the back. She covered up the reaction to the shiver by pretending to sneeze, as if the sneeze had pulled the shiver out of her instead of his magick touching hers. She rubbed at her nose with the back of her hand, closing the book to do so. The wind spirit boredly moved into an alley. When Nir followed she had already turned to face him, spirit taking up a defensive position in front of her. The witch stood up straight and tall* May I help you? *She kept her tone respectful but without more information she wasn't going to let her guard down*
Re: Somewhere In The Concrete Jungle
He pulls up quickly, startled by her sudden turning on him. A short, nervous bark of a laugh escaping him before he can stop it.Perdoe-me, eu não queria assustar você. Eu pensei que te reconheci.

Re: Somewhere In The Concrete Jungle
*Jim raised an eyebrow when he started* You obviously don't do this often *When he started talking she blinked at him, eyebrows knitting together some. She shook her head* Sorry man I am not getting anything. *She waved to her ear and then touched her lips* English? Español?
Re: Somewhere In The Concrete Jungle
Ah, pardon. I did not mean to.... He searches for the word for a moment ...scare you? I thought you were someone I know. He smiles at her, showing off teeth that are just a bit too sharp, but despite that, the smile is a pleasant one. I see now that I was mistaken. His accent is thick, making even English sound romantic and foreign.
Re: Somewhere In The Concrete Jungle
You didn't scare me, don't worry. *Jim smirked some before waving her hand and releasing the invisible protector, honestly believing he was a human and she could use human means to beat him if he tried to attack* But I don't like people following me, if you are searching for a mark I ain't the girl man. *She gave him a slanted smile* This friend got an address I might be able to send ya that way?
Re: Somewhere In The Concrete Jungle
Mark? He shakes his head, confused No I look for a friend. Address? He pondered the word a moment, then recognition dawned in his eyes Ah, no, I do not know where she lives. I am not even sure if she is in this city.
Re: Somewhere In The Concrete Jungle
Okay so do you need help or just decided follow your maybe friend into a dark alley? *Jim was growing more than a little suspicious. She crossed her arms over her chest* I'm calling BS why were you following me?
Re: Somewhere In The Concrete Jungle
You are more intelligent than your hair would suggest. Gone is the broken English. Yes, his accent is still there, but there is no longer any hesitation in his words I know you aren't a friend of mine, but I do think you have something I am looking for. He holds his hands up to show he is not armed as he takes a step further into the alley
Re: Somewhere In The Concrete Jungle
*Jim sucked her on her teeth as his speaking cleaned up. She took a step back when he took a step forward* I don't peddle drugs or whore and I have more than a few tricks up my sleeve so watch yourself. *She reached behind her back, ready to draw her knife or cast whatever spell she needed to cast to keep from being hurt. She kept the book carefully tucked inside her armpit* What are ya after?
Re: Somewhere In The Concrete Jungle
He blinks, then blinks again with the second set of eyelids. She knows he can't be human, but she has felt nothing but human the entire time they have been speaking. Your blade will not harm me child, nor will your little wind. I mean you no harm. If I did, you would already be.... toast. He laughs at his own joke
Re: Somewhere In The Concrete Jungle
Fantastic. *Jim let her hand fall away from the blade. Any other time she would be excited to meet another mystic but being cornered by an unknown threat wasn't what she would call a good idea. She held her hands up in a surrender position* Okay no harm. *She tilted her head a little at his joke, making sure she had heard the odd bit of humor correctly* Okay so fire I guess. What can I do for you Mr. Fire? *She thought hard about calling Veckah but wasn't ready to do that just yet*
Re: Somewhere In The Concrete Jungle
He smiles again Nir is my name. He steps toward her again, hand out to shake
Re: Somewhere In The Concrete Jungle
*Jim swallowed and stepped forward to shake his hand* You can call me Jim. *She didn't offer her real name and she could help but cast her senses over him before she released his hand, trying to figure out what he was* Okay now that we have been introduced, what can I do for you Mr. Nir.
Re: Somewhere In The Concrete Jungle
Her scan revealed nothing but human, however he is quite warm to the touch and a arc of electricity passes between them Just Nir, please. Look, I'm thinking you are a straight forward kind of person, so I'll just toss it out there. I need to see your egg.
