*Jim winced at the electricity, more out of surprise than pain. She took her hand back, shaking it out some. This guy confused the hell out of her. When he mentioned the egg she raised an eyebrow* Shouldn't you take me out to dinner first? *She let out a grunt at her own joke* What exactly are we talking about because these jeans show off more than enough to tell you I don't have an egg stashed on me *She moved one hip forward, then the other, but didn't dare risk a full spin* I know better than to answer a half question.

He has the cooth to look slightly ashamed at 'zapping' her. I am sorry about that, being this far north causes me to collect horrible static electricity. He smiles a crooked smile at her joke. I would be happy to share a meal with you, but after I examine the egg you recently acquired. Please, you must understand, I mean you, nor it any harm, but it is of vital importance that I check it over.

*Jim scowled at the fake shame. The fact that he was trying to play was irritating and the fact he was treating her like a little kid was even more irritating. What really sealed it was she couldn't think of anything to do but act like a kid and call for an adult. She sighed loudly* Why? *She asked out loud, crossing her arms. Mentally she recited the little spell that opened her link to Veckah* ~Teach I need some help. A guy approached me. I don't know what he is but he wants to see the egg and is acting shifty~

Why? Because it has been exposed to far too many temperature changes and may have died. There is a desperation in his eyes, that is finally adding truth to his words. He sighs and shakes his head, taking a moment to calm himself, but before he can continue they are joined by another...

*She didn't take chances being subtle, she simply appeared standing behind Jim. Quickly assessing the stranger she narrows her eyes at him.* Who and what the fuck are you, and why are you harassing my student?

*Jim actually blinked in surprised. She even mouthed the word died, eyes dropping to the ground for a moment. She snapped her attention back to him and when Veckah was behind her she relaxed her shoulders some, still on alert but less likely to try and bolt. She took a soft step to the side so she was more beside Veckah then in front of her*

His eyes narrow, his nostrils flair, and an actual grow comes from deep in his chest at the vampire's appearance. Vile, unholy creature. Nearly transparent membranes blink over his eyes as they bleed out their human glamour and become reptilian. If the egg is in your clutches I am already too late, yes? Did you sup upon her unborn vitae, or simply crack and scramble her forming flesh?

*She places a hand on Jim's shoulder, then at the angry words from the stranger, she looks at Jim in bewilderment.* Is he serious? *She turns back to the stranger and sighs* Ah, now I understand. *Jim can feel the shudder that moves through her teacher, not of fear, but disgust. Are you it's father, or it's mate?

*Jim blinked again in surprise at the words towards Veckah* Uh, I think so... *She couldn't even imagine Veckah doing something so...gross* Hey now, the egg hasn't been harmed at least in our time *She said, trying to defend Veckah then she bit her lip as she realized she had snitched* Damn, whatever you knew. *At Veckah she grinned, suddenly delighted unlike her Teach* You're a dragon!

He looks between the two of them and sighs himself. Mate if it is any of your business. He looks at Jim and nods Yes, I am, and I need to see your egg, if it still exists, please.

*She rolls her eyes* Wonderful, a love-sick dragon, just what we need. *She nods to Jim* Go ahead and let him examine the egg, but be careful not to let him escape with it if you indeed want to raise the hatching. Although with current circumstances.. *She sneers at Nir. ...you may want to just let him have it, otherwise you will never be rid of his presence.

Mate? Dragon's can form mating bonds without being born. Isn't that more than a little creepy? *Jim looked up at Veckah sheepishly* Uh...It's in your nephew's old room. Honovi said it may need warmth and safety so he made it a nest at the head of the bed before they all fell asleep last night. I'm sure the fae wouldn't have touched it. *She glanced at Nir* Honovi isn't a dragon but he seemed confident that the baby inside was still alive.

That is actually quite smart. It is warm and humid there, perfect place for Honivi as well. *She nods* Alright, to the apartment then. And with that, she starts walking, not bothering to see if they follow.

Do not question what you do not understand child. He starts to say something else, but the vampire starts walking away and he stumbles over first his words, then his feet as he tries to turn to follow.

I think they all slept in there last night. Figure he had been kept in a freezer, the unicorn only seems to trust the naga, and the fae....well the are all about sleeping in dog piles. *Jim stepped in time with her teacher, used to having to follow when Veckah decided on something* But I warned them they would be in huge trouble if they caused trouble...but ya know them. They are...well them. So, as much as I know the baby is safe I am not so sure about the room. I'll totally clean it up if it's not okay though. *She knew Veckah's feelings on her nephew and his death so she over explained, a habit she picked up around Veckah. She glanced back at Nir when he spit his words* Okay, okay sheesh. *She couldn't help the smirk that fell over her face when he stumbled. It felt good that he could no longer act like he was fooling her, not with Veckah there* You can be nice now that Teach has decided to be nice.

*She chuckled, knowing all too well what destruction could follow in the wake of teen-aged mystics and fae. The room withstood Grig and Jarik, it can handle just about anything a Naga, a unicorn, and some insane fae can throw at it. *She looked at Jim and smirked herself.* ~Dragons are never nice if they aren't raised with manners.~

A Naga, a Unicorn and Fae? What kind of home is this? He was completely gob-smacked. I have never heard of such a gathering. You northerners are so odd. A naga from our region would eat a unicorn, much less a fae. He finally falls into step with them, looking at they women with suspicion and disbelief written in his features. You are....... how do you say...... having one over on the stupid foreigner right?

Fair *Jim giggled, scratching her head and pulling the book out from under her armpit finally* ~Well if I still have the chance to help raise this one I would make sure she had manners. See what I mean by shifty though?~ *The little witch stumbled when he said eat* Wh..what? Eat...what the fuck? Unicorns are really rare aren't they and sacred? *She looked at Veckah to see if he was messing around* And naga's in this realm are few and far between

*She looks at Nir* South America, Brazil if I am correct. Blue, obviously. *She looks at Jim and nods* He is quite serious. What we call Naga are not the same thing as what he would call Naga. The Naga of his world are more snake than human, their intelligence is more instinct than anything. So yes, a Naga would eat the fae and unicorn, and they are not near as rare, in fact I think they are starting to become a real nuisance in your neck of the woods aren't they dragon?

He nods at Veckah's questioning. Then scowls at her when he is called dragon. My name is Nir, and I would thank you to use it, but yes, to answer your question, they are growing quite out of hand. They are reaching the point they threaten breaking the masquerade. It is only a matter of time before an all out head hunt is called on them.

Ah, okay...I know we have talked about different lines of mystics, I guess I just didn't put it together that more than one line could exist in a realm. At least not one as...*She searched for the word* Narrow as Earth? *Jim glanced at Nir and then Veckah as he got touchy about the name* You two never actually introduced yourselves *She offered though it was calm* I can do it if you want *She tried never to introduce Veckah without knowing she was okay with it. A few scrapes in her early learning career had taught her that the hard way*

It is more a matter of language then actual different mystic entities. *At Jim's offer to introduce, she nods with a small smile and silent chuckle.*

He nods in agreement with Veckah's language comment, then at Jim. Introductions would be appreciated.

That feels like it makes more sense then a totally different line *Jim smiled some at Veckah* ~I can see that laugh teach, even if I can't hear it~ *She said mentally* Teach this is Nir, he introduced himself in the alley before I called you. Nir this is my teacher Veckah Nobril *With a name that held as much weight as Veckah's there was no point it not giving the full name in introductions*

*A small laugh escapes her* ~Not my fault you got your nose broke.~ *She formally bows her head to Nir* Forgive me for not shaking your hand, I have an.... aversion to lightning.
