He blinks one set of lids, then the other I can only imagine. But was he answering Jim or Veckah. He takes a deep breath to steel himself then follows to the elevators.

*Jim dodged the swat then turned to watch Nir as he lagged behind. When she had first started coming to the Nobril Tower she hadn't been aware of pretty much anything but as her training had progress she had been growing more and more aware of the strong magicks that surrounded them here. She still wasn't "stunned dragon" aware but she hoped to get there someday. She looked at her teacher, chest swelling some with pride* You must be pretty amazing to almost knock a dragon over. *She whispered to Veckah before Nir recovered enough to join them.* But I already knew that. *She gave Nir a smile when he finally joined them* You aren't going to get eaten, relax. *She pressed the button for the top floor, enjoying the little bit of teasing she was getting away with*

*She chuckles at Jim and steps to the back of the elevator* No, the one that would eat you doesn't live here anymore.

Well that is a relief. He smiles a crooked smile, trying to cover his obvious nervousness. It had been years since he had been around this much non-dragon magic, and it was setting him on edge. How do mortals live within this abode? I would think it would make them sick.

Mortals aren't really as aware as you think as a whole. If they are aware they keep it to themselves, thinking they are imagining things. *Jim tapped her book, thinking* Part of being a herd is fitting in so we don't talk about things that make us weird, which means we don't know it's not weird after all. Second, there aren't a lot of mortals living here and those that are probably know about the masquerade and know to keep it quiet. I haven't met everyone in the building but it would get uncomfortable, eventually, if you didn't realize what was going on. Plus the doorman keeps most everyone else out. *She smiled some and put her book under her arm* Doorman is nice enough if ya know someone but he can be pretty dickish if you push him.

Dirk can be a right bastard, and his elemental form is truly frighting. *She nods* As for the few mortals in this building, they all know about the grand masquerade, and most of them have supernatural in their family. No one comes into this building without the landlord's ok. Being that I am that landlord, you can be sure that the lease agreement is through. *She chuckles*

We drangonkind rely on mortal's ignorance and unwillingness to be different. He looks over his shoulder at Veckah and chuckles slightly. Again, I can only imagine.

His name even sounds like Dick *Jim said quietly, obviously having been on the wrong side of the door at one point. She smiled at Nir* And here I was enjoying being the teacher. Hey, may I ask how good your senses are? Can you tell if we were lying about everyone living here in peace?

*She tilts her head, feeling someone leave the building. She cocks an eyebrow. ~We may be stepping into something. Grigori was here and just left with Dylan, so head's up.~ *She sends to Jim, not wanting to unduly alert/frighten their guest.

Well, it depends really. I can tell outright lies unless someone is VERY good at it. The ability to see subtle changes in body tempature, breathing and sweating grant my kind that ability.

~Think something bad went down? When was the last time Dylan was awake?~ *Even as little as Jim was in the realm these days she knew it had been a long time. She shifted a little, wishing the elevator was a little quicker now* Okay, so less magick senses and more of the five regular senses? I'm not trying to be rude just curious

~I don't know, it has been.... awhile. I can pop ahead and check it out.~ Forgive me, I need to make sure everyone is decent before your arrival. *She nods to Jim, then disappears from the elevator.*

When it comes to dealing with interacting with sentient creatures, yes. I have magic though, powerful magic. I just don't usually have to use it. He shrugs. When Veckah disappears he looks at Jim. Is everything alright?

~Sounds good, better than starting a fight by accident~ *Jim nodded to Veckah as she disappeared* I'm not doubting your magick is beyond compare. *At his question she smiles some* Yeah, just making sure we don't walk in on anything to intense. Some of the local wildlife doesn't like strangers bursting in on them unannounced. They may even be naked *She wiggled her eyebrows at him, teasingly*

*The morning in the apartment had rolled into a lazy recovering afternoon. Both girls were still trying to recover from loss, one of magick and one of blood so both had been ordered by the boys to take a nap, which after some mild cursing Recka and Rory had submitted to. Even the elemental had taken to his original form to relax and rest. The Apartment was quiet, calm, and full of sleeping people. Rory laid next to her best friend, sleeping comfortably when she felt it. A hit to the temple, an almost stabbing panic that broke even a healing sleep with one quick slice* Mom. *Another stab sent her into motion, as she carefully tried to get off the bed without waking Recka up but quickly enough to satisfy the panic that was trying to engulf her*

*Recka had been dozing lightly as she was curled up next to Rory, girl was a snuggler. She heard Rory call out Mom and felt her start to move off the bed.*You can't sneak worth shit. *Recka muttered as she sighed and set up.* What's up? *Recka asked sleepily.*

*Rory shook her head as she slid off the bed, searching for her socks* Fuck off and go back to sleep. *She pointed at Recka before reaching down to grab her sock* I gotta go check on something. *She closed her eyes at another stab, heart starting to race fast enough she could feel it in her temple. She put a hand on the wall to steady herself, going pale as the fear gripped her* But you are still on lock down. *She panted out as she opened an eye and managed to get a single sock on*

Not gonna happen. *Recka said flinging her blanket off and getting out of bed. She noticed Rory's grimace and moved closer.* What's that spidey sense saying, huh? *Recka leaned against the wall.* Bitch, we're both on lock down, where you go I go. So where too?

Better fuckin happen, getcher ass back in the bed bitch. *Rory rolled her eyes as she put the other sock on* And I don't have a spidey sense miss Witch, just gut feelings. *The teen glared at her best friend* That's not how this works besides if it is fuckin' something it's in human only territory, no magick. I can handle no magick without backup *She swallowed at the stab* Fuckin' don't need to drag you into my bullshit *She shook her head, trying to clear the panic before she shoved Recka's shoulder* Don't make me call Windy to lock you down bitch *She pointed oh so dangerously as she ducked into the hall to find her shoes*

*Recka gave Rory a dull look as she went on and on about with her bullshit, occasionally rolling her eyes, as she followed her out into the hall..* Ya done? Cause I'm fresh out of swords for you to fall upon in sacrifice. *She grabbed her own shoes from where she had kicked them off last.* Speaking of the wind, I'll summon a demon if you try! So, either I join you or I call your boyfriend. *She said with a smug smile as she loudly dropped her shoes and put her hands on her hips.*

*Rory could help the smile that started as Recka mentioned the swords* You're such a bitch, Damn. *She was pulling on her shoes when Recka said boyfriend and nearly dropped it* He'snotmyboyfriend *She said too fast and too high, ears turning red. She inwardly groaned at how girly that sounded. Instead of trying to cover it up she just glared at her best friend* Still some weirdness so no demon. * A thought hit her* Uh, no one knows we're here think you can whip up a charm to keep us off everyone's radar? Like low level Shit, not high tech

That I am, but I'm your bitch so suck it. *Recka said knowing she had won. Putting on her shoes her grin got worse as Rory got flustered.* Could have fooled me. *Muttering with a shrug. She thought about a charm for a sec and then snapped her fingers as an idea hit her. She couldn't do big or tap that power she shared with Ryuu but small she could do and not be writhing on the floor in pain or get them busted with. Going over table near by she grabbed a black marker off of it, before going to Rory.* Low grade coming up, give me your wrist.

Fuck ya bitch, it's unintentional emotional attachment brought on by the mark. *Rory sound as if she had practiced the phrase, then again she had been repeating it enough to herself she kinda had. She raised an eyebrow when Recka snapped, semi following her through the house before holding out her wrist when asked* I knew you had it in you *She teased*

**Recka rolled her eyes.* Whatever makes you feel better. Buuuut it's bullshit. *Recka took Rory's wrist and began to draw sigil. The mark warmed a little as the magick was laced through it, but it didn't hurt or sting.* Oh hush your face, This will hide us. *Finishing up Rory's, she quickly drew out one on her wrist. Once done she tossed the marker away and grabbed her wallet.* Let's jet!

Fuck off, Recka, the whole topic sucks so let's just not *Recka could read Rory better than anyone and could tell it bothered her, had been since the kiss happened. She flexed her hand after Recka finished her mark, feeling the muscles under the Sigel contract as they warmed* You're positive this is safe? *She grabbed her own wallet before grabbing Recka's shoulder* We worked really hard to make sure you're safe and I don't wanna fuck it up on a hunch something might be wrong, even if it's my Mom
